When I was in Paris or even NY I didn`t mind having a distance relationship.. Sure it was hard to let Michael got, but when he came back, I liked to show him around a lot and I knew how to spend my time alone.
THis is all different in Geneva.
1. Geneva is one of the most boring (bigger) places I know. Shops close at 5pm on Saturdays, everything is closed etc.
2. It`s boooooring ;)
3. Everything is sooo expensive. One Mc Flurry at McDonald`s is almost 3 Euros. A Coffee at Starbuck`s starts at 6 CHF, which is 4 Euros (plain coffee, not the fancy stuff). Pizza`s start at 15 CHF/10 EUROs and this is not in a great place.
4. The surroundings are great, but it`s a longer travel and I`m not the person to go snowboarding or mountainbiking alone (boooring).
5. It`s November, meaning, the summer season is over and all the summer stuff is closed, but the winter/snow season hasn`t started yet.
6. Did I mention it`s boring? :)

However, my train was lalte due to an accident or whatever and I was tolf I could reach my connection just before FFM only, the hours before were filled with waiting, calling Mike, considering whether he should pick me up or whatever. I hate the trainrides and I don`t like Geneva. Can`t wait to go back working at Uni...

I`m living in Geneva now, working for the UN... hoping to get back home somewhat soon next year, finish my PhD and then work for the UN in NY or... whatever.. late now. Watched Friends as my usual go to bed routine. Raining outside, going to Germany on Thursday.

I have a new band.. I'm on a diet.. and it's exam time.. done with exams on June, 24th.. for two months at least :)

Yes, I do neglect my LJ.. I know.. but I can't help it..

I am tired today.. but I will really really try to update this weekend..

Since I don't have too much time now.. I will post just a little in here, every day.. or at least regularly.. :)
I can't post everything, so I mostly end up posting nothing.. So.. just one thing.. step after step...
And I even might start to comment again..

1. I came back from NY :( I loved my time there and I'm so looking forward to going back next year.. :)
2. I managed my long flights okay.. So many places are now open... I can even go back to OZ.. :)
3. I started with Kung Fu or Martials Arts in general and have been working out at least 3 times a week for about 2 hours. Today we were out in the park practicing Shaolin forms with our Master for 3 hours. It was awesome.. I love it..

That stuff is hell.. I love it, but there's about 10% sugar in it..

My bf is in Chicago, I'm working late.. mostly til 6 or 7.. then I go home to finish the paper I have to hand in in two weeks.. I'm never gonna do that..

At least it's warmer and american TV rocks.. 4 eps of Friends today, Everybody loves Raymond right now.. I could watch TV all night long..

What else.. food at UN rocks as well.. it's a damn long procedure to get in there and we have to take our UN friends, but it's worth it..

That's my update for tonight.. I really need to make some progress on the paper, so the pics need to wait to be posted... NIGHT :)

I'm sort of too tired to post much.. Had a good day at work.. my boss is the vice president of the consulate...

It's 10pm now and I'm off to bed to be ready to shop tomorrow.. so far everything is going great.. I hope it'll be equally fine when my bf is gone :( Cos with him even the worst thing cam seem oookay ;)

It's fucking cold.. they call it the big chill on TV... strong wind.. 7 Fahrenheit tomorrow if you consider windchill.. YAY...

Nintendo DS Lite vs. Sony Playstation Portable

Both have pros and cons and I cannot decide which one I like more.. And it's not made easier by the fact that there isn't a single place to test the DS.. The PSP ist better, but Nintendo has Super Mario and Yoshi.. I grew up with them.. ARGH..

It's not like I don't have other things to do, so help me out here :) Please ;)

13 more days.. and I'm off to NY.. I can't say I'm relaxed about the flight, but I'm doing the best I can. I hope I can be more relaxed soon...

I’m in writing mood recently… 

Tonight I saw a special on the Red Bull Storm Chase, where 22 surfers in the north of Europe surfed the strongest storm for about 20 years this autumn… and right now I know… that when I’m home… I will be on my board, even if it’s winter and cold.
I love surfing and I haven’t been out on the water for a too long time now.

It is insane, but it’s what defines me… what helps to find myself and get through hard times. Through surfing I’ve learned that it is possible to do things you never thought you could do… before you finally do them.

Next year… I’m so gonna do the loop… I’m gonna work hard on myself and I’m gonna make surfing my life… it already is… even exchanged music on the first place of important things I guess…

It’s 3 am, my boyfriend’s coming tomorrow/today. He will not be happy about the fact of going with me in the winter, but it’s just too dangerous alone in this temperature…

Next year… I’m gonna get to my own limits and I’m gonna expand them. I’m gonna do my own Storm Chase and see how far I can get…

Yes, I know I am insane, but this is who I am… windsurfing brought me up… from my wheelchair and crotches and I’ll be surfing until I am brought back in there…

I was so touched by this TV special because it shows everything that windsurfing is: a fight with yourself… the water, the waves, the wind… a fight you alone chose to win or to lose.
And my plan for next year is… to win them all.

Is Daniel Craig hot or what?

I first saw Bond at the French Premiere.. Daniel Craig was there.. I mean really there :)
MAybe that's why I'm so into this movie, but maybe it was just that the expectations I had from the moment when I first saw the teaser got fulfilled 100% by the movie..
I so can't wait for the DVD and my notebook is spammed by Daniel pics.. LOL... I feel like 13 again, but then.. he's a good reason to do..

Plus, I think I wanna be a director.. I've always wanted to and maybe it's time to not play it safe once...but to risk something to achieve the things you want..

My time here is almost done.. In 11 days I will be going home for Christmas and then... one more week and then exams..

Because I saw a preview at the Grand Rex of James Bond with Daniel Craig in the same cinema (the others were there as well, but who cares about them?!)I'm very much into Casino Royale and Daniel Craig...

Might post some pictures later.. there's so many things I need and want to do.. But first I need to study a bit.. 3 exams next week...

Why on earth do things you did in the past or people you met in the past come back to haunt you, just the moment you thought you were okay about it?
Okay, I admit it doesn't really help living in the same city as he does, even though there a couple on millions other people living in it.
But anyway.. am I supposed to contact him? Just leave it like that to come back at me next year?
Life is allllll tooo difficult for me..
